Working with Animals
Words of appreciation for helping animals with Craniosacral therapy

Simba – 11 yr old Labrador – by Krishna Shah
Simba is an 11 year old Labrador retriever dog. He has chronic skin issues since the last 4 1/2 to 5 years. He was diagnosed with an enlarged heart which makes him cough when he is excited and stops him from doing any kind of vigorous activity. His liver enzyme levels were high. He has age-related spondylitis. He is on medication for his heart, joints and skin.
At the time when he first saw Niyati, he was unable to walk due to the spondylitis and we needed to use a trolley to transport him. Within a few days of receiving his first session of Craniosacral therapy, he started walking again. He has been receiving Craniosacral therapy once a week over the last 6 months. His coughing has reduced and his ECG results have improved over the last 3 months. His liver levels have normalised. His skin issues have significantly improved – the open weeping sores have dried up and his fur is growing well. We have been able to reduce the medication for his skin condition. His fussiness in his eating habits has also reduced and he is more receptive to his meals especially for the next 2-3 days after receiving a session of Craniosacral therapy.
Craniosacral therapy has helped Simba a lot and we are continuing with his sessions to support his good health. I would like to thank Niyati for her tireless efforts and for managing to improve Simba’s health significantly even at his advanced age.
Buttercup – indie dog, 6.5 yrs - by Nivedita Bansal
Buttercup is an 6 1/2 year old indie dog. She was diagnosed with a severe cryptococcus fungal infection in her lungs which had spread throughout her body. She was in a critical condition when she started receiving Craniosacral therapy. She had major difficulty with breathing and blood in her urine, nose and stool from the fungal infection. Craniosacral therapy helped her to breathe better at night and supported her immune response, to complement her medical treatment for the fungal infection, and also helped her to get better rest and sleep. Due to receiving medicine intravenously, her legs were swollen and she was unable to walk and climb onto the bed and couch. Craniosacral therapy helped to reduce the swelling in her legs and improve the healing from the infection. It helped her to manage the strain on her body from the strong medicines being administered to her.
Craniosacral therapy is a great tool for pets to improve their immunity and healing. Niyati's sessions are both offline and online, so if your pet can't travel, he/ she can still receive Craniosacral therapy from home. It has helped Battu to feel more supported and relaxed during a very stressful time, by calming her nervous system.
Niyati as a therapist is very passionate about animals and is very knowledgeable about dogs especially. Niyati's practice comes out of a place of genuine care and compassion and she is committed to the dog's healing journey. She took out a lot of time to do sessions during the initial phase of Buttercup's treatment and supported her. Niyati has a friendly and approachable disposition for any questions about Craniosacral therapy and maintains good relationships with the pet's family.
Nico - 11 yr old Labrador - by Ellaeenah Niloufer
Nico was an 11 year old labrador retreiver who was diagnosed 2 months prior with liver cancer that had metastatised to his lungs, spinal cord, kidneys and other organs. He was unable to stand or walk on his own. Due to the large tumour in his abdomen, which was pressing on his bladder and intestines, he was unable to pass urine or to defecate, which was making him very uncomfortable.
We wanted to try Craniosacral therapy to make him more comfortable as he was receiving palliative care only. He received only 2 sessions of Craniosacral therapy, but each session helped him to be more easy and comfortable. A few hours after the session, he was able to pass a large stool and felt better for it. Although we tried very few sessions, I would definitely recommend Craniosacral therapy for dogs. Niyati is very gentle and has good energies.
